The third annual car show was another huge success. Local residents brought out a fine display of beautiful cars. This year’s show expanded to over ninety vintage cars, muscle cars and modern classics. Orinda Way and Avenida De Orinda were closed for displaying cars this year. Cars were also on display inside in the Orinda Motors main shop. The sun was shinning and the tunes were blasting. Also this year, Daytona 24-Hour winner and Orinda resident Jochen Rohr displayed one of his personal Porches and signed posters. There was also a raffle for a chance to ride with Jochen at the Infineon Raceway. Car show visitors could also pay $25 to ride in one of the show cars during the parade of classic cars that happened at the end of the show. The food booth was provided by Boy Scout Troop 146. All of the proceeds benefited the Seniors Around Town transportation program. In the end, the Orinda 3rd Annual Classic Car Show raised over $7000 the program which is provided by the Orinda Association.
