Women’s Car Care Clinic at Orinda Motors!
On May Saturday 14th, Orinda Motors, in partnership with the Orinda Women’s Club, hosted a community car clinic. The clinic focused on the education of women motorists including car maintenance, operation and how to be a better consumer of auto repair.
John Vanek and Vince Poehnelt of Orinda Motors had an audience of about twenty local women who appeared egar to learn more about their cars.
The long time manager of Orinda Motors drove home the responsibility that the driver/owner has in operation and maintenance. Attendees learned how to find information in their owner’s manual and keep track of the maintenance history. Master Tech Vince Poehnelt went hands-on to demonstrate what worn components like tires; belts, filters, etc look like and how they affect the reliability of your vehicle.
The clinic lasted over two hours and refreshments were provideded. The community event was free of charge, however attendees donated gas gift cards and cash to the Senior Helpline Services. These donations were accepted to help defray expenses for volunteer drivers. The audience found the clinic informative and asked if there will be a follow up. No plans for another clinic at this time but you can expect another one some time in the future.
