Saying goodbye to a faithful car is never easy. But since my wife has a new 2017 Subaru Forester that she loves, it's time to say farewell to our 2002 Forester with 165K trouble-free, primarily Orinda Motors-maintained miles on the clock. The "check engine" light came on recently. Took it to OM for diagnosis. Needs a new catalytic converter. Wanted that info whether we sold it to a new owner or donated it to a charity. Just seemed like the right thing to do.

We understand how difficult it can be to let go of a faithful vehicle, Mark. Thanks for having us service your Forester over the years. Because it's been maintained so well, we're sure the new owners will understand what a treasure they have. :-)
