Wanted to check the condition of our 2002 Subaru Forester with over 163K miles on it. Just bought a new 2017 Forester and was thinking of giving old car to our niece. It had been well maintained by OM but time took its toll. Needed new battery, brakes on both ends, power steering pump and head gaskets -- the latter one of the very few Subaru bugaboos from that period. Not going to put that kind of money into such an old and high mileage car and not going to give it to our niece. Knowledge and peace of mind for only $125.
