Keeping our 2002 Subaru Forester going strong at 154,000-plus miles. AWD vehicles have 4 axles to transmit power to each wheel and rubber boots on both ends of each axle to protect the CV joints. Over time (14-1/2 years) and miles, the boots wear out and tear, allowing dirt to damage the joints. OM replaced the left front axle and boots to keep our Forester on the move.
